School Governing Body
A School Governing Body consists of a group of parents, teachers and the principal of the school. The members of the body are chosen every three years, therefore the SGB programme is repeated every three years. The SGB is formed to deal with governance issues and policies, such as discipline, resources and budget.

Four workshops are held per year for the SGB group, topics include maintaining discipline in schools, managing resources and financial management.

SMT – School Management Team
A senior management team consists of the senior members of staff and the principal of a school. The SMT deal with departmental and curriculum issues, and academic policies, such as retention of subject teachers, ongoing teacher development and forming of committees such as assessment committees.
Four workshops are held per year for the SMT group, topics include school improvement plans, the role of SMT in curriculum management and curriculum planning.
